My hopes and Dreams for my room

Hello again!
Recently, my family and I have been trying to declutter. We took advice from Marie Kondo, a very famous decluttering "genius" who has developed various techniques to get rid of stuff and make more space.
Clothes
I started by dumping all my clothes onto my bed. I sorted them into 3 piles: to throw out, to give away and to keep. I ended up parting with more than half of my clothes. This created space for me to put other things into one of the draws that was previously used to store clothing.
Books
For the books, I did the same process to start with. I placed all my books on my bed and managed to halve the amount of them. It is important to remember not to through out just for the sake of it. I kept any books that I thought that I might read again, and chucked only the ones that were useless to me.
Notes
One of the many things that I have learnt by watching Tidying up with Marie Kondo is that you should never take on too much decluttering at once. I have been taking this process pretty slow as to make sure that I never get sick of it.
After the decluttering is over
Hopefully after this process is over, I will be able to look at my room and be happy with it. I hope to make it a cosy nook, therefore I will decorate it in a nice way. Here is just a list of some things that I hope to incorporate into my room after this decluttering.
1. Scented Candles
I don't know why I have been so obsessed with scented candles these past few months, but they will definitely have to make an appearance in my future room. I won't necessarily light them, but even just having them will brighten the aspect of the room.
2. Fairy Lights
Fairy lights often add that little touch of magic to a room. They make them feel cosy and just generally make me feel happy.

3. A Hanging Chair
I don't really think this is anything anyone will ever really need, however, I think it is a really cute addition to a room. As well as being nice looking, it provides a unique place to sit.

4. Some Bean Bags
I mean, who doesn't want bean bags? They're comfy, practical and squish-able! They make a great spot to chill, read a book or chat.
5. A rug
With the right rug, you can add a comfy cosy environment to the room. No more cold feet on the bare floorboards for me! I would definitely get a fluffy one. Light colours make the room feel light and airy.
Well then, that's all I have time for now.
See ya'll,
Maya
Right... What about your sister didn't she want to read some of those books or wear some of those clothes. This is where the land dumps come in peoples stuff they throw instead of giving to charity books more than clothes. Plus you forgot to Skype me on Thu.
